“I Can Do It” Initiative
CFA holds a special concern for the physically disable individuals
in Liberia. Those with disabilities are commonly and systemically discriminated against by employers, community members, and
even family. As a result, the physically disabled are often heard saying that they are “just
a crippled” person.
Yet Caring For All sees a different future for this valuable segment
of the community. CFA is working to empower individuals with disabilities, encouraging them and finding
the resources they need to succeed. CFA sees a future where the disabled community is a proud, able, and
contributing member to the growth and rebuilding of Liberia.
CFA
will accomplish this by being a resource hub in their three target communities. CFA will work to connect
people with disabilities with organizations and employers who are willing to help. Caring for All will
work with employers and organizations, encouraging them to reach out to the disabled community. Listening
to the dreams and aspirations of these individuals, Caring for All will work throughout all their programs (women’s
empowerment, youth education, and public heath) to find or provide the resources necessary for these individuals to attain
their goals
