Elizabeth is an incredible woman that Caring for All met in Liberia and is a perfect example of why Caring
for All is working to empower women in Liberia. Elizabeth had children of her own, but as the war progressed
and took the lives of friends and family members, Elizabeth stepped up to care for their children. Whenever
there was not enough food Elizabeth as a mother would share all the available food with her kids, taking only water for herself
as her only nourishment. She would go to bed hungry hoping that the next day would be better.
Caring for All aims to make not
just one day but the entire future better for the resilient and strong women of Liberia like Elizabeth.
Caring for All’s Women’s Empowerment Program intends to bring pride back into the lives of women who have
experienced tremendous hardship and enable them to become independent in their community. Caring for All
realizes the incredible influence and economic force that skilled and entrepreneurial women can have on a community and we
are working to provide the skills and resources to spur that potential into motion.
